It Serves to Destroy, Never Becomes Beneficial.

This was my house today.
I don't like fighting. I'm sorry Mom.

The Meyers-Brigg's test was completely correct for me. I am an INFP, the Dreamer. (Introvert, Intuition, Feelings, Perception). I have my head in the clouds, and I'm shooting for the moon. Even though I see just how difficult this is going to be, I know I can do it. I am willing to fight for this. I will achieve this, and I will not fail unless I decide to. Just watch me.

After a particularly exceptional day at school, my night was quite the letdown. But, I have awesome friends such as Seth Ferguson who gave me a reason to smile completely and genuinely. It's amazing what music does to me. :)

So, since this song brightened up my night and even gave a little hope to me, I decided to share it, along with the smile I gave Seth. He's working on what he calls "the Smile Project" and I think it is really impacting people :), SO if you smile when you hear this song, post a picture of you smiling on my facebook wall (or leave it in a comment or something) and I will give it to Seth to include in his project if you will.

Dear Harry

Thank you.

For the most wonderful month I could have asked for in a relationship.
For being yourself.
For being the best I have ever had, and showing me that there's only better to come for me.
In short, for everything. I could go on and on.

I'm going to miss the time we had together, but life goes on, and we're going to be great friends :)

Love,
Sammi.

This song is really truly wonderful to me at the moment, "Country" or not. It describes my state of mind perfectly.

I really think I'm finished dating during High School, unless someone convinces me otherwise. College and the rest of my life has so much in store for me. I will move on, I will find something/someone better for me (as teriffic as he was) and life will go on. I'm still happy, just a bit more independent, if that's what I'm going to decide to call it.

I have a few songs to learn on guitar :) I'm so excited to actually be confident enough to sing a few for some people.

Music: "Arizona" by Jimi Gibbons, you can listen to it on my youtube channel, furubayukintohru (from when I was obsessed with anime xD)

Just for a laugh, because God knows I need all the laughter I can get :)

It's August 25th.

I'm listening to Siversa on myspace, a local rock band here in Arkansas full of awesome people. They have all ten tracks available for listening at the moment, check it out: http://www.myspace.com/Siversa . I'm diggin' it :)

Anyway, there really wasn't anything super special about today I suppose. I've been having fun with the first week-ish thing of school so far. Band/Jazz band is/are a blast, Stagecraft is starting to shape up to be ballin', I'm loving being back in German Class, and thoroughly enjoying Freshman Comp. College Algebra and American History (my class full of idiots) not so much.

I'm so proud of the marching band right now though, you don't even know. We have more than half of the first movement drill down and are already marching and playing, AND we flags already know our routine for the whole first movement and most of the second. I am PSYCHED To Boldly Go along this journey to the end of the show. xDDD PUNS! But seriously, the way we are conquering these rehearsals is amazing. Senior year is shaping up to be awesome already :)

I am so happy with life right now. I have the best boyfriend ever, the most amazing friends, awesome family, awesome classes (for the most part), and an awesome flagline. I couldn't ask for more right now. <3

Music: Farewell Flight, any of it. Meghan showed them to me this afternoon and I think I fell in love for an instant, then she had to get out of my truck with her iPod x). Good luck finding them on the internet though, :/

4 Simple Goals + DCI Musing.

Well obviously this post is about four simple goals I'm setting for myself before 2011. Hah. These will probably not be all that extravagant, but here goes nothing :)

1. Pray - Lately I have forgotten where my faith is, and how to come back to it, so for now I've decided the best thing I can do is just to talk to God again and quit being a stranger. I have a feeling that this will make me feel alot better about going back to church eventually. 2. Get back into gaming - Halo, specifically. I really like playing it, and right now I am TERRIBLE. I want to be able to be a decent challenge for my boyfriend eventually :P 3. Get somewhere with my Music- I mean outside of band. I write songs, and stuff. I want people to hear them, me and Chuck have got something going, for real :) 4. DO SCHOOL WORK - Ugh, as much as I hate it, I really need to make straight A's at some point this year.

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, nothing has really struck me as important enough to write about lately...at least not on my blog :)

Music: "Gravity" by Lucy Schwartz...actually, watch the video. Not only is the song beautiful but the video is absolutely inspiring.

And Usually that would be the end of my post, but I realized I needed to geek out about DCI now. Here are my thoughts.
1. I seriously dislike the Blue Devils. They do not deserve first place.
2. Carolina Crown needs to make their plot much more obvious. Considering that to me "Satan" just looked like a large African American Male hitting a small Caucasian female with a rifle because she cheated on him with the other African American man (aka, "Jesus"). Once a friend of mine explained what their roles actually were, the show made sense but not everyone has Michael Godsey to help them out on that :P.
3. The Cavaliers were AWESOME. Not only is "Mad World" by Gary Jules one of my favorite songs, but their "This is My Rifle" chant was utterly well, attractive. :P Cavaliers Drum Break/This Is My Rifle DCI Dallas 2010 <--very entertaining, but you really should watch the whole show. :)
4. Vanguard will always have my heart when it comes to DCI. <3

Day Full of Awesome.

"& You take me the way I am"

I never thought I'd put the words "Monday" and "Awesome" in the same sentence, but today was Monday, and it was freakin' awesome.

First of all, Meagen and Syrena are two of my favorite people in the whole world to eat carbs, watch romantic comedies, and talk about boys with :) Our sleepover was indubitably the perfect preparation for a day as awesome as this one. Our dance to "Dude Looks Like a Lady" is my new favorite dance, and jammin' song for the car :P I love you guys.

Second of all, I really can't bowl. I'm terrible at it. Scored a whopping 44 points today, but it was fun nonetheless :). Harrison and Nathan are CHEATERS! Just sayin'. Beating my boyfriend at air hockey was fairly entertaining, and definitely fulfilling. He's pretty cool, I've decided. I like that boy. :) Lots and Lots.

Third, Howl's Moving Castle is an excellent movie to watch. Playing keyboard with Harrison is lots of fun too.

I'm really terrible at describing how awesome this day was. I just can't do it "Justus" (ahahahaaaa...puns). XD Thanks for making my life awesome guys, I love you all :)

MUSIIIC: "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson...such an awesome song :)
