Oh ho ho!

Guess who's home?! That's right--ME! Alright, enough narcissism. (pfft, yeah right...it's a blog, isn't that what this is for? :P)

I have returned from four amazing weeks of ARKANSAS GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL! I had a blast, and I miss all my new friends from AGS dearly. As everyone says, it was a life-changing experience, but not in the way you would think when you hear the words "life-changing". To me it wasn't that radical of a change. I just got to know myself better and I have the courage to do what it takes to become all that I want to be in life now. I am not afraid to fight for what I want anymore.

My minute (yet it seems vastly large to me) collection of what I guess you could call vintage cameras has grown! (see header). I now have an Ansco Readyflash, a Polaroid 600, a Polaroid cold-clip, and a Kodak Ektar--which is actually a video camera. I'm so excited. Whether or not I can shoot with any of them because of their film, or lack thereof, these miniscule time machines mean so much to me. I hope to be able to show my kids how they work and inspire a love for photography within at least one of them.

And here I go. I'm very proud of this outfit, and feel the need to showcase it. :)
Shirt: DressBarn$16. Shorts:JCPenney's$13. Hat: FleaMarket$3. LeftmostBracelet: Grandma's collectibles$.50. Rightmostbracelet:Family Heirloom. Class ring and Pinky ring I've had since I was six. Necklace: Mother's.

Yeah! I felt really cute, so there ya go. I'm developing an obsession for fashion :)

So I've been gone for five weeks total. Flag camp before AGS and all. (Not to mention it was the best year of flag camp I've ever experienced...too bad it's the last :[ ). I have this one week to bum around and see friends and family, then I'm off to band camp next Monday. Not to say I'm not looking forward to band camp, because I surely am :). I get a whole lovely two weeks of summer because as soon as I'm home from band camp, I have one more week, then summer band starts (I am SO excited :D). I just wish I had more time to do summer stuff. I haven't been to the lake, and all of my friends have. I want to share in the experience! x)

I've also learned something very important about life and myself. Never settle. Never settle for ANYTHING, because it is SO worth it in the end. I cannot express how happy I am right now just because I waited to find something I truly wanted. And dear god,
I want this.

Music you should listen to: "Turnstile Blues" by Autolux. Immensely awesome.
